Dominique Jordan was elected president of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in 2018. Prior to that, he served as the Board of Pharmaceutical Practice's chairman and as the organization's former president of the Community Pharmacy Section.
Swiss-born Mr. Jordan is a Fellow of the Swiss Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences and studied pharmacy at the Universities of Bern and Lausanne. He has held a variety of posts at pharmaSuisse, the Swiss Association of Pharmacists, including president and a chief executive officer from 2003 to 2014. He also served as director of the organization's department of politics and economy.
Mr. Jordan, who owns a neighborhood pharmacy in the Swiss canton of Valais city of Sion, also serves as vice president of Health Promotion Switzerland and a member of the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences.
